A Story about Fatima in Arbat Camps, Sulaimani.
![]() |
Fatima is a refugee girl in Arbat Camps, Sulaimani. |
( I want to be an actress like Angelina Jolie . How could I possibly be her that even I cannot move from one budge ?. I have not seen the sunshine, sunset, rain, sky, moon, and even outside for approximately four years). Fatima said. These speeches have impacted on me . For example, we can walk, move, jump, and run, but we have not thought about what she wishes to. When we got home, we thought, how can we help her? Why we are helping her? Is there anyone who deserve more? Fatima is one of the patient in Arbat Camp near by Sulaimani for almost 15 kilometers and is 15 years old. She injured by a bomb that exploded in front of her house that caused her to lay down in bed almost 4 years. The entire her bodies cannot move either she is straight horizontally or vertically. Several doctors have signed for her that she can return to the world as a normal person as everyone ,and she needs the surgery that cost $20000. Unfortunately, nobody cares! YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN HELP ME OUT IN THIS DIRE CIRCUMSTANCE.
Princess Diana says ( helping people in need is a good and essential part of my life, a kind of destiny) . Please donate or contribute if even of one smile or read the text.

I am Rojvan from Syria.
Rojvan from Syria. Lives in Arbat camps. Seven years old. |
Arabat refugee camp, which is located in northern Iraq 11:00 AM, I was standing under a broiling sunlight, I was thinking deeply about refugee's life. I saw children who are playing on the dirty ground, dust everywhere, But also I saw smiles on their faces. I talked to myself, they had lost every thing, one of them had lost their family, school, house, and, education, although they are smiling. I was in my thinking when a little girl shook my hand, I looked down I saw a beautiful little girl, she has big eyes with beautiful smile and face full of life. I asked about her name, she said my name is Rojvan (Rojvan means good morning in north Syria which Kurdish are living there). The story begins from here. Rojvan is 7 years old, she is not like the other girls who are living in normal life also she is not like other girls in the camp, she can not go to school on the camp because her big brother is disabled person. Rojvan lives just with her father and her disabled brother. She has to help her brother each day because her brother can not move from his bed. We can say Rojvan, who is just 7 years, is the housewife of her family. she is cooking, washing, cleaning, etc. Then everyone must think about refugees' children. We are human beings. we must think about child's life there. Think twice, how can you help refugees? Think about Rojvan and the other children. Those children need our help.
Rojvan one of thousand of children who need our help, so you can donate for children now. Our help makes a better live, future, and, education for refugees children.

We Are Waiting For You
In these days, we have many global issues, and one of them is REFUGEES and IDPs. Refugees are the people who have been forced to leave their city or country mostly because of war. There are many places that host refugees, and The Kurdistan Region of Iraq is one of them. It is hosting a large number of refugees. Most of them are from Iraq and Syria because of the wars that happened there recently. According to the researches that have been made by (KRG), there are 850,000 Internal Displaced People (IDP) in Kurdistan; most of them are from Neineveh, Diyala, and Anbar. Also, according to the UNHCR's researches, there are 216,000 refugees from Syria live in Kurdistan especially in Duhok, but the problem is Kurdistan cannot host that large number of refugees and IDP because Kurdistan is already suffering from financial problems. We are facing a lot of problems here. For example, their place is not for that large number. They do not have drinkable water. Also, they do not have enough mount of medicine.
We are a group of students studying Academic Preparatory Program (APP) in the American University of Iraq, Sulaimania. We have to finish Service Learning Project in the end of this semester. This project is helping both of the AUIS students and the refugees and IDPs. It helps the students to get experience and improve their English language, and it helps refugees and IDPs to provide them some necessary things especially for their children, so if you can, give your support by donating money.
